The Bakery Ghost

When I was about 18 years old I started a new job in a bakery and I enjoyed working there but as soon as I started working there I had an eerie feeling.

One day I brought up the subject of ghosts and spirits to my friend that worked in the front of the shop with me. I asked her if she believed in ghosts and this was about three days after I started working there.

She turned around and said to me “WHY? HAS THE BOSS TOLD YOU ABOUT HER ALREADY?” and I said, what do you mean and she said, well we have a ghost in this shop and she comes out at the end of the day when the shops about to close.

I was curious not scared at that time. Then the day finally came, after about three weeks of me working there my boss asked me to close the shop up. I felt like saying no but as I had only been there for three weeks I felt like I had to say ok.

The after noon of me closing I thought to myself, nah I wont see her, as at that stage I didn’t believe in ghosts. Anyway, as I was cleaning up the shop putting unsold cakes in rubbish, in the corner of my eye I saw a, what I thought was a whitish shadow, go from one end of the back of the bakery to the other end towards the old shower that was there. That’s when I started to get a bit scared. I couldn’t see any face or body, I just saw a flowing whitish figure.

In the end when I was out the back of the bakery there was flour on the benches when I looked a bit after the name MARY was drawn into it. she died in bakery fire.
